Every formulation begins
with research.

Our process starts with the evidence and ends with a batch record. What happens in between is the part worth explaining.

The Process

From literature to finished batch.

01

Literature review

We read before we formulate. Efficacy data, safety profile across populations, effective dose range, and bioavailability of the specific form — all assessed before an ingredient is shortlisted.

02

Ingredient selection

Standardised extracts with declared marker compounds, branded actives with their own clinical dossiers, and suppliers who can document where the material came from.

03

Formulation development

Where the compromises get negotiated: ingredient interactions, stability across shelf life, masking bitterness without sugar, and holding the active dose intact through processing.

04

Batch validation

Raw material testing, in-process controls, finished product assay and stability studies. A batch is not released until its documentation says it should be.

Scientific Foundation

The evidence behind every choice.

Wellness moves on trends. Formulation should not. Each Soken product rests on peer-reviewed nutritional research that demonstrates a measurable effect at a dose a person can realistically take every day.

Our formulation scientists assess every candidate ingredient against the same five questions, in the same order.

01

Does the mechanism hold up?

A plausible pathway supported by human data, not extrapolation from a cell line.

02

Can we reach the studied dose?

If the effective dose will not fit in the format at a palatable size, we change the format or drop the ingredient.

03

Does it work with the others?

Combinations are chosen for complementary pathways, and checked for antagonism and absorption competition.

8

Formulations, each with a documented evidence basis for every active it contains.

Regulatory

FSSAI

Regulatory compliance for India, with documentation prepared for export markets.

Signature Actives

Ingredients we stand behind.

The six actives that carry most of the work across our current range.

01
N-Acetyl L-Cysteine
Amino acid precursor

The rate-limiting precursor for glutathione synthesis. Among the most extensively researched compounds in antioxidant and respiratory nutrition.

02
Astaxanthin
Xanthophyll carotenoid

A xanthophyll with unusually high antioxidant capacity, studied for ocular and cellular oxidative defence.

03
Lutein & Zeaxanthin
Macular carotenoids

The only dietary carotenoids the human macula concentrates, where they contribute to macular pigment optical density.

04
Silymarin
Milk thistle complex

The reference botanical in hepatic wellness, with a longer clinical record than any other liver-directed plant extract.

05
L-Theanine
Non-protein amino acid

Promotes alpha-wave activity associated with relaxed wakefulness. Supports calm without sedation, which is why it suits a pre-sleep formulation.

06
Curcumin
Polyphenol antioxidant

Standardised to 95% curcuminoids so that the polyphenol content is consistent from batch to batch rather than nominal.
